that’s what I was thinking about training my forearms but I just wanted to avoid spraining my wrists so I thought should maybe wear wrist wrap gloves or those wraps that you wrap around the weight to help with your grip

  2. SirFightsalot says:

its normal for ur wrists to hurt but if u want u can do alot of forearm exercices to bring ur ur wrists to par with ur biceps/triceps

  4. 939291 says:

i’m pretty sure that this works the long head, NOT the short head

my wrists always end up hurting after I try doing barbell curls.. why is that?

  9. miplace83 says:

close grip also meaning a narrow grip works the long head of the bicep brachil.

  10. 02x9 says:

    lol

  12. davidbarnett2 says:

use dumbbells… dont avoid training your strong arm… if you are using correct form your weaker arm will work harder.

  13. davidbarnett2 says:

yeah he has it backwards on this video… he says a close grip works the inner head and it doesn’t… sound advice…

    Cont.
To help set off bicep from tricep work your Barchialis muscle which lies below & between bicep and tricep. A well developed Barchialis will also help push up on the bicep when you flex and push down on the tricep. Finally get rid of that extra BODY FAT. Just like pounds of belly fat hides your abs, excess BF lies on top of other muscle that can hide seperation between close muscles like between bicep and tricep. Besides standing/sitting bicep curls do contrenation, cable, preacher curls.

  16. willieofroanoke says:

Its called a BIcep because the muscle has two parts. On someone that has a very well developed bicep when they flex hard you can see the division that divides the muscle into it’s two heads. How much of a peak you can develop greatly depends on your genes which determine the length of the tendons that attach the bicep on either end to bone. The closer your hards are apart when doing a barbell curl the more your work the outer head, the further the hand grip the more you work the inner head.

  17. willieofroanoke says:

For most people, one arm does dominate because most people are either left or right handed. While there are over 650 named muscles in the human body, there are many much smaller muscles that team up to do certain tasks repatively which is how one side can get stronger than the other. As to your question, do DUMBELL curls adding a bit more wieght to the weaker arm. In time, (many months) is should catch up to your stronger arm. Don’t neglect the strong side, just add 1.5 to 3 pounds to weak side.

  18. VoluptuousAlchemy says:

    Cut it off!

  19. faivision says:

ur left arm is stronger right. so train right hand always harder than ur left.that will make it balance.

  20. dragankralj says:

    use less weight

  21. ptownboarder258 says:

how do i stop one arm from dominating the other when i do barbell curls? my left arm is a little stronger so it seems like it does most of the work on this exercise.

  22. a9bomb says:

Also he forgot to mention, but you wanna keep your elbows close to your body.
