    i have tried this exercise but it seems if your legs are at a more than 90 degrees you dont get full stretch and feel for the weight. i go a little below 90 degrees and i feel i get a better leg workout. true why would you do squats when you can do this and still get good functional strength.

    I agree. If you have bad knees due to genetics, ie arthritis, why the hell would you go with a riskier exercise?

    you know whats crazy, putting squats and leg press into the same workout along with other leg exercises. Thats called a quad routine.

    3 hrs? major recipe for disaster (overtraining)… if u wanna up ur size and mass (and resistance), u gotta cut down on ur workout time regardless of the number of days u train…

    it is called variation… i agree that squats are the best exercise, but leg press does concentrate and does its job focusing on quads and less torture for your back (if done in the most proper form)… in a whole month, i do squats, leg press, front squat and back to squat with perfect form and highest resistance…try to vary ur workouts or ur muscles won’t cooperate…

    Folks dont Fokus on the weigth, wer not on a D*** Comparison here. Take a weith that allows you to do the Exercise right and withing your recommended reps.
    Oh and Yes Squads are more effectiv, but:
    a) They are harder to do, so the press is good for a Beginner
    b) you should change your exercises all 4-8 Weeks so your Muscles cannot adapt to easy.

    VNprince is right. Squats are far more effective than leg presses. It’s alot harder to… Only pussies do leg presses lol.
